[ Palmyra attracts three hundred thousand tourists ]


Palmyra, Syrian Semi Desert, (SANA) - 296 thousand tourists of different nationalities visited the ancient city of Palmyra during the last year. Directorate of Antiquities and Museums of Palmyra pointed out that the tourist revenues hit SP. 23.014.000, adding that researchers, writers, historians, artists, and journalists in addition to different official delegations were among the visitors.

Palmyra is a world-historical city registered on the World Heritage List and it is famous for its integrated archeological structure, its oasis adjacent to the building, charming desert and nightly atmosphere.
